World Cuisine Recipes from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Beyond

LinsFood has been around for more than a decade, and the recipe archive has travelled rather widely.

These days, I’m focusing mainly on Middle Eastern, North African and Asian recipes, with the occasional detour elsewhere when I fancy it.

Explore Recipes by Cuisine and Region

Below, you’ll find traditional and not-so-traditional recipes from around the world, gathered through years of cooking, teaching, travelling and writing about food.

The Middle Eastern and North African collections include Persian, Palestinian, Levantine, Turkish, Moroccan and other regional recipes. The Asian sections cover Chinese, Japanese, South Asian, Thai, Vietnamese and Burmese food, from traditional dishes and ingredient guides to the occasional recipe that has wandered slightly from its original path.

You’ll also find British, French, Italian, East and West African, Latin American and American recipes from LinsFood’s earlier, rather more wandering years. Those collections aren’t going anywhere. A good recipe doesn’t suddenly become redundant because I’ve decided to concentrate my efforts elsewhere.

Singaporean and Malaysian food now has its own dedicated home at Singaporean and Malaysian Recipes, where I publish the dishes I grew up eating and cooking. Older Singaporean and Malaysian recipes remain in the LinsFood archive, but all new ones are published there.

Choose a cuisine or region below and have a wander. If there’s a particular recipe you’d like me to cook and add to LinsFood, let me know. I can usually be persuaded where food is concerned.
