2012Chinese New Year Part 2

Right, as promised, Part 2 of the Chinese New Year Menu.
Today is of course the eve of the new Chinese year, the Year of the Dragon. Chinese families around the world are sitting down to their Reunion Dinner and having some of the dishes you’ll find on this page!
In the last post, I published the first set of recipes, which were:
Easy Chinese Greens (Pak Choi/Bok Choi)
Today, we have the rest of the recipes. Together, they make up an elaborate Chinese dinner, fit for a king! Most of the recipes are really easy, perfect for first time Chinese cook. The Hotpot is a really fun dish, I’ve often had a few friends over after the kids have gone to bed and we sit for hours, cooking, eating, drinking and chatting!
Any queries, please, please, feel free to get in touch via the Contact form on the left or leave it in the Comments box. I reply to ALL queries and comments!
Here is Part 2:
Five Spice Duck with Plum Sauce
Ginger and Spring Onion King Prawns (another takeaway dish!)
Chow Mein (and another!)
Have fun trying these recipes. We’ve had a whole week of eating Chinese food in this house as I had to photograph everything! My family and I have had a great time doing the whole menu (and eating the result!), hope you have as much fun as we did going through the recipes!
As they say it in Mandarin, Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year!
